Jen Crook has chosen Circle as one of two charities to fundraise for via her upcoming Antarctica expedition. Jen is in training to be the first woman ever to do a solo unsupported walk to the South Pole and back from the edge of Antarctica. Circle is honoured to be one of Jen’s chosen charities, and we are excited about this wonderful opportunity to work together.
Before Jen embarks upon her Antarctica trip she is undertaking several other expeditions in preparation. The first of these is an expedition up the length of Scotland, walking from Gretna Green to Cape Wrath. Circle’s Communications Officer Claire joined Jen’s send off from Gretna Green at the weekend and loved walking with Jen and her adorable dog Haggis. Jen’s rucksack weighs around 32kg, carrying food supplies and tent for camping in Scottish winter – what a tough cookie!
