Circle Haven Project’s Early Years groups have been thriving this term and it is always refreshing to receive new referrals and meet new parents from a variety of backgrounds. The groups are supported by our great partnership working with Sarah Neal from CLD who is equally caring, committed and very supportive of the parents and children.  We welcomed our first set of twins in baby massage and I was delighted to have an opportunity to massage a real baby for the first time!  We have also said goodbye to four parents and their children by referring them onto Family PEEP at West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre.  13 parents from Bump to Buggy & Baby PEEP attended a First Aid Training in October run by British Red Cross and the session focussed on burns awareness and choking.  The parents found this a valuable experience and it is hoped that next year we can support our parents through a full First Aid course.  We are coming to a close in our Incredible Years parenting programme and believe it has been one of our most successful groups yet in terms of commitment from nine parents.  There has been a boost in numbers in the Dads’ Community Group based at PYCP and this could be attributed to the breakfast they receive!  We also want to say a huge thanks to the two social work students, Lisa Rankin and Lucille Hughes, for supporting us in the Bump to Buggy Group and Baby Peep.  We wish them the very best of luck!
